Lágrimas en el cielo
¿Sabrías mi
nombre
si te viera
en el cielo?
¿Sería lo
mismo
si te viera
en el cielo?
Debo ser
fuerte
y seguir
adelante,
porque sé
que no pertenezco
aquí al
cielo
¿Tomarías
mi mano
si te viera
en el cielo?
¿Me
ayudarías a mantenerme de pie
si te viera
en el cielo?
Encontraré
mi camino
a través de
la noche y el día
porque sé
que no me puedo quedar
aquí en el
cielo
El tiempo
puede derribarte
El tiempo
puede doblar tus rodillas
El tiempo
puede romper tu corazón
Te tiene
suplicando por favor, suplicando por favor
Más allá de
la puerta
hay paz,
estoy seguro
Y sabes que
no habrá más
lágrimas en
el cielo
¿Sabrías mi
nombre
si te viera
en el cielo?
¿Sería lo
mismo
si te viera
en el cielo?
Debo ser
fuerte
y seguir
adelante,
porque sé
que no pertenezco
aquí al
cielo

In August 1990, Clapton's manager,
two of his roadies and his friend and fellow musician Stevie Ray Vaughan were killed in a
helicopter accident. On March 20, 1991, Clapton's 4-year-old son Conor died
after falling from the 53rd-floor window of a New York City apartment belonging
to Conor's mother's friend.
After isolating himself for a period, Clapton
began working again, writing music for the film Rush (1991). He dealt with
the grief of his son's death by cowriting "Tears in Heaven" for the
soundtrack with Will Jennings. "In an interview with Sue Lawley in 1992,
Clapton said of the song, "There is a song that I’ve written for a movie,
but in actual fact it was in the back of my head but it didn’t really have a
reason for being until I was scoring this movie which I did a little while ago
and then it sort of had a reason to be. And it is a little ambiguous because it
could be taken to be about Conor but it also is meant to be part of the
film."
Tears In Heaven - Eric Clapton
Would you
know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven
Would you
hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven
If I saw you in heaven?
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?
I'll find my way through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven
Time can
bring you down, time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please
Time can break your heart, have you begging please, begging please
Beyond the
door there's peace I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven
And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven
Would you
know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?
I must be strong and carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven
